That’s a Wrap!

December 18, 2018

It is time to get wrapping!! After a busy month of running around getting all of our Christmas errands and decorating done, I finally had some time to start my wrapping! Most people dread the idea of having to do holiday wrapping, but I try and take this as an opportunity to get a little creative, and to be honest, this is what gets me into the Christmas spirit. I have always appreciated a well wrapped and presented gift. Since I was a little girl my Mother always did such a beautiful job making Christmas as magical as possible for my sister and I. Although I do not have children, I still want to keep that tradition alive, down to each ribbon, each bow and now to the tags!!!

This year I decided to go a little less traditional ( I know, I know… where is the red and green!?!)… Well, I guess you could say this is my “muted” take on it. From soft olive greens to dreamy rose blushes. I just loved how romantic and elegant this colour combo became. I started off with my favourite blush pink wrapping paper from my local Marshalls store and went from there. I wanted to create something fun, so I decided to dig out my lino cutting supplies and I made myself some sweet little rubber stamps of pine cones and cedar branches. So thrilled with how it all came together! Hope my family is too!

To top off our gifts I wanted to make simple apothecary styled tags. Because I am a graphic designer, I always am crazy picky over any gift tags (simple is always more in my opinion). So I decided to make my own and share them with you all!

Enjoy my little tags on your own gifts by simply downloading the free printable tags at the bottom of this post!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
